Can somebody please help me stay motivated?

At today interest rates, you could leverage it into a CD and make money while sleeping. Lol. Their raising interest rates. Squeezing the last bit of extra money out of the economy, so they can start the whole process over. Long term not much will change. What good would a fleet do you right now? Looks like plenty had the same idea and did it, Not working out well for them.

 

If a floor were to be set nobody would go out of bizz in bad times, that would cap the upside in good times because nobody went out of bizz in the bad times

 

I could do it and make more money if I wanted. It was basically free money at this point if used right. A lot of times it takes money to make money. lot's of opportunity to make money in this market and I could build a small fleet of nothing but 10 mpg trucks to ensure I was competitive for the next couple years.

Funny you said that. I know this more than most people. Had a decent chunk of money left behind from my fathers death. Also had it stolen from me while in prison. Very complicated story to try and tell on here without a book. And I can promise you that I take a lot of pride for doing well in my life with starting from nothing coming out of prison.

I was 24 when I first got out with a work history of Hardee's, Carnival, and Conagra. While in prison I became a Lead man in every job I had and found I had a real skill in leading men. Trying to get a felon in prison to do a good job is like giving a cat a bath that has never seen water! It takes a lot to put it nicely.

So when I got out I went to work at a custom cabinet shop doing laminate work. I had a friend that lied to help me get on and boy did I disappoint at first. But after I learned how to do the work I turned into the best guy at that shop. Also turned out to be the best Supervisor and then to the Production Manager. I took everything on head on and started at 10 an hour and worked 100 hour weeks without question to build my self up. To this day the owner is my biggest fan and like family to me.

Also I had no one other than myself to make it happen. No family to help and I went through the dang honor center to have a place to live and get on my feet.

 

I'd rather have stable predictable income than this craziness.

 

That is easy to make happen. Go get a job working for someone. Ha Ha

 

Plenty of hourly pay trucking jobs out there.

 

I want at least $50 a hour.
Let me know any job offerings for that.
