If you are both being serious then we have a disagreement on the definition of cheap.
LCM costs $1400 and you can't return it if that doesn't fix the issue....checked on that when I was buying the brake sensors.

I’m not being funny, you can get one for the truck USED for under $250. It is rather cheap compared to the amount of time spent on the problem trying to rule everything else out not to forget the possible violation fine you could get or better yet if someone rear ends you because you have weak or non-working brake lights and be sued for a few million so it is far cheaper to replace the LCM to rule it out.

The most common problems with this is the LCM or one of the grounds that go to the LCM.

The best way to see if it is is to replace it with a good working unit or with a wiring diagram and check the ground or both.

I definitely understand and agree with that... But..... Don't they need to be programmed to my truck (the reason I can't return it to the dealer).... And.... How do we know if I'm buying a used one that it actually is a proper working unit?

Also.... I know I can't read a wiring diagram.... How might I check or even find the grounds?

Well... Since we all last discussed this topic it has not happened a single other time.

Shop still thinks it was just a run of bad equipment which seems odd but what else could it be at this point?

    The fun never ends though.
Last week wanted to fix some surface rust on the side...

    Yeah... Surface...

Had to have half of a side panel welded in then bondo and such...

Today I was replacing another sensor on the firewall and then went to reconnect my Hella lights that have been disconnected for probably 2 yrs now (lazy I guess).... And find out I have no ground...

Don't know where that is coming from... Cable... Starter...

Going to just have the shop deal with it when I get my next pm because I have a few other things I need them to take care of..

Just worried that since I have no ground and most stuff seems to be working fine that when they fix the ground I'm going to be hit with 1000 more problems..

Times like these I miss being a company driver...

    2Tap and BoxCarKidd Thank this.
