    I spent all day Thursday in Detroit. What a sad sight. It’s hard to believe so much of our country is built because of that town. I was downtown and it looked like Ukraine.

    I stopped in there for a 30 once that turned into a 60. I put a 20 into a 3-wheel dollar slot and left with a little over $400. :cool:

    So we had the 2nd Quarter driver advisory board meeting yesterday. Lots of good information and discussion. A few takeaways I can share.
    -our current truck count is 363
    -freight is currently overbooked (which is a good sign)
    -our current turnover rate is 27% (leaps and bounds below the national average)
    -if your currently driving a manual, enjoy it because everything moving forward will be automatics.
    -we will eventually have a different drop yard in KCMO
    -approximately in September they will transition to the geotab from the Omnitracs
    -in a week or two we will have to add a trip# when getting fuel
    (Fuel theft is occurring from card skimmers, and this is an extra layer of protection)

    Should be up at the lake tomorrow about 0900. I’m going to have the wife pick me up at the truckstop in Marion, Nc. Enjoy a few days at the camper and then deliver my current load in Columbia, Sc on the afternoon of the 4th.

    I've owned 7 trucks in my career all leased to carriers and have never ever seen at the pump fuel discounts that fcc offers .
    Fueled at a pilot in Indiana today and got 109.32 off the pump price .
    Between the fsc , fuel discounts and fcc paying fuel taxes and empty miles I'd say fcc owner ops are pushing 3 bucks on all miles and that don't count bonuses or paid IRP and discounts on parts and shop work .
    What an outstanding company!

    PS .....been holding my tongue until now but with all I've learned in the last 2 weeks I can say I don't miss being treated like step child at Morehouse.
