I decided to stay home a few extra days. I’ll be coming out on Monday then stay out until the 29th. Been home since a week ago this past Wednesday. 12 days off seems about right. It’s going to be a struggle when I come out Monday trying to get back for my next hometime and 3 weeks vacation. This will be my trip planning starting September 3rd.

Make sure you ride the cable car down the hill in Santorini. Also, the wife and I had a nice dinner at a restaurant overlooking the bay where the ship was anchored up.

Ridgeville load ended up going to Mt Crawford instead of Indiana. Bounced down to Petersburg for a Groveport that Ill drop tomorrow then start a 34 then grab the Daphne/Pensacola load Monday. Good week after coming out from home-time, better than I expected.

I have a question, I guess I’m not familiar with cruise lingo. How is it 10 nights, 8 ports but only 2 sea days? Or is that what they call 2 days of just motoring without a port stop?

Sea days are when the cruise ship is not scheduled to hit port but stay out in open waters enroute to the next port stop..

As was said, out at sea headed to another port that is too far to do overnight. 15 years ago, the wife and I went from Miami to Liverpool England. First stop was Bermuda that took 2 days to get to, then 7 straight sea days to the Canary Islands, Spain, Portugal then docked in Liverpool. We stayed overnight on the ship which counted as a night, then motored down to London via the English countryside.

What a complete and utter change of events. I was sitting in front of my computer about 5pm when my Abilene app beeped which only means a load assignment. Sure enough, load up in Port Canaveral Monday at 10 am and drop the trailer up in Valdosta as soon as I get there. I figure I’ll have about 4 hours left for the day on Monday, that’s when they should get back to their normal poop show, waiting on a reload. We shall see.
