Take the family out to Parker's BBQ. I order from Parkers on a regular basis. Love their BBQ. When a person leaves Eastern North Carolina, they leave BBQ country.

I lived in Goldsboro from ‘84 til ‘97. Didn’t get Parker’s often, but it was good! Usually hit Wilbur’s in Goldsboro, but there were a few good BBQ joints there.

I used to stop in Wilson @Billys BBQ when I was pulling milk from Turkey Hill, Pa to Charleston, SC. But I hear Billy died and the place has been closed down.

Back in the truck after a week off. Shop says that the solution to my jake brake problems was to replace the stick on the right side of the steering wheel which controls the jakes and the transmission. And sure enough, I do have a shiny new stick there. So we'll see.

Seems like at least one of my batteries needs replacing, though. Started brewing coffee with the engine running and almost immediately got the low voltage disconnect warning. When all four batteries are new and fresh, the voltage hovers around 14.2. Been hovering right around 12.6 since I got back in the truck two hours ago, with the engine running the whole time.

Pulled a hamstring getting back in the truck, so that's gonna be fun to deal with. On my "get back in the truck" leg, too. Gonna hafta climb into the truck in reverse now until it heals.

My daughter made a homemade cheesecake over the weekend, and it is phenomenal. I got the leftovers in the fridge.
