There’s more to that story. She was released. Apparently the rental car company was trying to add on thousands of dollars of charges which she didn’t owe, plus they tried to add fraudulent charges on to her credit card!
It’s a classic rental car extortion scam in the UAE!
In other words the UAE is trying to “save face” because they tried to screw over an American citizen and they got called out on it by the international community!
The guy she got into a shouting match left the country and went back to his native Pakistan!

Don't forget chaining up three or four times a day. Speed chaining because if the guy behind you is a faster chainer than you are you just lost your place in line.
Side heavy loads, end heavy loads, loads with breaking bunk logs, learning to false bunk, putting on a strip chain and tying to the front bunk. Loads where you missed a short peaker on the back with your landing wrapper and you hope it rolls far enough down the bank that the piss firs don't see it. Seeing it stop with the branded end sticking up where you can see it from the road and having to walk down and chop the brand out with your axe. The axe with the loose head. Hoping you get out to a wide spot before the landing wrapper falls all the way underneath and beats up your air lines.
Hanging the chains back on the rack full of mud that dries just enough between trips to making chaining up an ordeal.
    Just another day.

There is hook, and then there is un hook. Both are directional, just depends on the approach... Be cautious.
