Ok, I need feedback from my brethren. This has me perplexed. I received an email from HR entitled “Anniversary Gift”. In the email, it’s broken down to years of service, I fall into 10-14 years. I opened the link and read the message. “Thank you for your dedicated service to Abilene these last 10 years” yadda yadda yadda. Please choose a gift to show our appreciation and thanks for 10 years of service. Ok, so I have a choice of three to choose from. I don’t need a safety equipment gift, have all that. Don’t need an emergency survival kit, got all that. The last one, which I chose, was a Visa gift card for $125. Now, here’s my dilemma, should I be thankful for the $125 gift card that I broke down to $12.50 per year for my 10 years of service, or should I go on the assumption that they are having financial difficulties and can’t afford any more? All responses will be duly noted. Of course this is only Johnboy sarcasm at its best and I am truly humbled by the genorosity bestowed upon me by the company.

Be thankful you got anything.JoeyJunk, Lonesome, navypoppop and 4 others Thank this. -
I guess i'd be thankful to get anything from these cheap companies nowadays.
We get $25 gift cards to pilot for Christmas yet they're taxed.
Shown as income minus income taxes on our pay stub.
At least like $100 per year would be somewhat more substantial and you can actually use it to buy somethingJoeyJunk, Grouch, ExtremeUnction and 2 others Thank this. -
All kidding aside, my wife and I donate to St Jude’s children’s hospital every year, this will be added to it. Even though I can be a colossal prick at times, I do appreciate the gesturedwells40, jarhead0311, MidWest_MacDaddy and 5 others Thank this. -

This new reefer sure is struggling to get to negative 10. Ive had the older ones get down faster. Was supposed to deliver today but told them I wouldn’t get there today when they put this on me but as usual told to get it loaded and roll. Still no word from the broker or anybody as to see if ok to get there early tomorrow morning. Guess they just hoping I get unloaded when I show up instead of actually doing leg work and getting something concrete. I don’t like flying by the seat of your pants stuff. Boat load of detention/layover pay this week.
