Had to dig up four (4) sprinkler heads and replace — evidently we have a vandalist roaming the neighborhood getting their rocks off kicking the heads off sprinklers causing epic flooding of landscape— couple of the old timers asked if they could use the shop if I wasn’t around and they caught the MF’er — told them I never lock it, the walk-in cooler is pretty soundproof and there’s meat hooks in and it would be nice to try and clean up all the blood

Scrolled through and paused at the wages portion.........

The average salary of $47,130 does not feel too far off.

That number divided by 2080 (40 hrs x 52 weeks) does work out to $22.66 per hour.

Not sure I have chatted with anyone only working 40 hrs a week unless they were local or part time.

If we do the math with 70hrs and 60hrs per week (FMCSA log hours) it works out to the $13 to $15 per hour range.

Whoever wrote that and I do not share a common reality.

Yes, the disclaimer: "Opinions may vary widely..." could have been added to it.

I really liked his/her statement that most companies fail because their expenses are higher than their earnings— never would’ve figured that one out

You knew it, just was so long ago you learned it. Memory had dimmed a little cause you have never again utilized that method.
