FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I delivered near Madison this morning and picking up a load at Quad Graphics south of Fond du Lac. It's a two stopper to Dallas. Had no idea we had Texas loads out of Wisconsin.

 

On this fleet, it's expected to be home by Fri night unless you tell them you're staying out longer, however, you've run some different schedules the last couple weeks, and with you still being fairly new on this fleet your DM might think that's the schedules you like, definitely wanna let em know what you expect on a normal week. Usually with one's like that out of our area we will split it off at one of the yards. Usually only take something out of the region at the beginning of the week, unless you're planning on staying out till Saturday or all weekend... f in rookies!... lol just givin you S, it happens sometimes.

 

Where you delivering in TX Chris?

 

This is the first week I've actually started on a Sunday morning instead of Monday morning. I had assumed with it already being Wednesday and that I'd be down to 26 hours or so on my 70 by the end of today, I would just be routed back to Omaha or KC, then taking a short haul load or two before getting a load to take through home for the weekend. I'm still trying to figure some stuff out on this fleet. I've only been OTR until a month and a half ago.


Also both stops on this load delivers to Dallas on Friday, with the last stop scheduled for noon at a USPS DC. Upon talking to dispatch, I'm going to drop this in KCMO.

 

I figured they would have ya drop it

 

Yesterday was nothing but driving, so today is payback time. Had to run the last 100 miles then live unload, then got a shag run from Holdredge to CB, then had to go to Waverly to find an empty, and currently I have a 2 stopper setting off in Sillynoise

 

Except now the plazas will be jam packed with typical Loves customers…

 

Well, so much for starting my days early and not dealing with humans. Took a 13 hour break last night, to show up when this shipper opened this morning. Load not ready, gonna be a live load, but they ain't ready to do that either, take my number and have me park in the drop lot , they'll call when they're ready for me. That was an hour and a half ago. Guess I'll be splitting my logs and running late/starting later tomorrow and dealing with more humans..... to make matters worse, it's dusty in this lot... hasn't even been 24 hours and I can see my truck getting dirty before my eyes! F everything!!

 

If it makes you feel better I didn't shut down until 11 pm last night

 

Yuk! That'll probably be me today... been 3 hours now and the call from shipping still hasn't come. Though about going down the road to Love's... but there will be humans there out and about no doubt at this hour..... so I'll just sat here a little longer and hate everything.... besides I know if I leave That'll be when they're ready
