That's true. But I make use of every available resource to me. Before I deliver into any large city, I make #### sure I have enough time on my clock to get in and out. Especially when I took loads to New Jersey with Magnum. I never spent more time in that #### hole than absolutely necessary. Doesn't always work out that way but I've never been in a situation where paid parking was my only option. I have hidey holes that I can utilize on occasion if needed.

 

For those think I'm a lazy focker and it's true !
Now back to work and still have bills to pay and when I'm out I run 2 to 3 weeks at a time so zip your lip about giving me a hard time about taking a couple weeks off until you've paid off a truck note with an inframe in 4 years .
I wasn't home much and I EARNED IT ! .
would I do it again in today's freight market and truck market ? ..big fat No !
Lease maybe and turn it back at the end of the lease .

 

I assumed that since you didn't have a truck payment you were well within your rights to take the time off that you wanted. I wouldn't take that much time off because I'd get bored about a week in and be itching to do something else but that's just me

Anyways I didn't leave at 4 am like planned. Forgot that other people moved in with a child temporarily, so vehicles have to be shared now. My roommate takes one to work every morning, and I have to wait for the other people's child to get on the bus before they can take me to my truck. Bs reasons but it is what it is unfortunately.

Might have to tell dispatch that when I come out on Monday's I can't leave until x time for the time being. At least this load is just a 'drop anytime' one.

 

My boy got a little salty last night. Lol, i was never serious brother, just giving ya sh@! I look forward to being able to do that one day myself!
