Dude when I ran a belt I can’t tell you how many hours I wasted at the crap trap in St. Joe. I’d pull in and be like “oh good only 3 trucks in front of me”. 7 hours later I’m still there.

Ah-ha! Climax I knew it looked familiar. I was close. Usually when I leave there I make a left out the gate, continue south down 91 and on thru Leadville to Salida. I thought it looked like that area. All those little mountain towns kinda look the same but they’re all gorgeous. Great pictures!

@Tall Mike i just had an epiphany and @Arctic_fox can maybe chime in because I’m sure he knows way more about it than I, but the Bones family has another trucking company T Bones. I think it’s mainly belt work, and again I don’t know where they all go or what they do. But it may be something to consider.

The answer is yes. What i am PRETTY sure happened is i was pulling scrap out of joplin and they didnt have enough rock fill by the train tracks in the back there and they way overloaded me. So when i went to make that left my wheel sunk and clipped that stupid rail there. Didnt even notice it till the next day when i did my post fuel walk around because i was sitting on it for my pre trip and it was dark out lol.

Its happened there a few times now, ususlly it doesnt totally kill the tire and just cuts it a bit though. But i suppose 92,000 pounds will do that.

Not bad, struggleing hard today though. Dude next to me had a truck that kept backfireing all night and waking me up. So i slept for ####. Been having a hard time keeping my eyes open and decided to call it a little early today because of it. Could likely have gone another hour with some more no-doz but i know when its time to throw in the towel and not risk a stupid especially when im hitting max no-doz dosage for the day already lol.

Yep I hate nights like that, and like you said it makes for a long next day. I’m never afraid to throw in the towel either when I’m feeling drowsy like that. One of your company trucks came down HWY 69 open tarped with apples piling up to the bows. I’m guessing headed for Louisburg. And then 2 more company trucks were headed west on 70 when I was comin into town. It’s was Bones-a-palooza today.

Rough week here, kind of an odd one. Been running sand out to the panhandle coast for a new astroturf soccer field, problem is it’s in the middle of nowhere so empty miles are ridiculous, I’m already at 875 and it’s only Wednesday. Overall been a tough year for me, sure wish I had a JK type setup down here @motocross25 Florida is a tough place to make a living.
