FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I did indeed pick up a trailer out of the Dallas yard this morning, but not a trailer full of pallets. It’s going to a Sam’s DC in KCK but I’m dropping it across the river at ACT. Apparently there isn’t anything going up to Nebraska from there (which is pretty strange) so dispatch has me on a Blue Springs to Plainview load and they’re working to get a load of pallets out of Amarillo on Thursday to get my truck serviced. It’ll be almost 4k miles overdue but oh well.

 

I’ve noticed that I really haven’t taken loads anywhere near the Omaha area in awhile. Is freight going through a dry spell up there?

 

Just checked my paperwork and I haven’t been through Fremont nor Council Bluffs in almost a month. Strange indeed

 

Na, just depends on the day and where ya land at. Sometimes you'll get in a cycle like that.

They have plenty of freight coming out of that area considering I got a Lincoln load Thursday.

 

It does seem like it usually takes a circling approach to get here lately. I stopped in to get my truck serviced while under a run from Kansas to northern Nebraska and am back because they needed a down trailer brought in (and I didn’t really have the hours to go anywhere else).

 

They probably have 3 techs trying to figure out how to bolt in the transmission.

 

Reserved a room at the Marriott for the night of the banquet. I don’t drink but if the urge hits I can risk free and it’ll be nice to shower, etc.
