Maybe there is a shortage of some kind which would be strange.

Next load is to Kansas so we'll see how they get me up to Fremont. Need to get my paperwork in order for the truck and hopefully start making the revenue.

It was a long time ago but I took the plastic off the seats on a Prostar and that thing usually couldn’t make it off the dealer’s lot without whatever was fixed becoming un-fixed.

They don’t call them 13 letter #### spreaders for nothing, especially those old ProStars. My CDL school had a couple and they were junkers

The new ones I believe are a lot nicer than those old #### spreaders and as long as you have a Cummins should be simple to fix compared to a Navistar engine, but I haven't really spent alot of time behind the wheel of one of the LT trucks Jason could answer that better since he owns one.

Mine had a cabover, and a couple freightliner classics. I think bzinger 's had a covered wagon and a team of mules :biggrin_25525::D

I'm still attending my driver's education alma mater...often referred to as "the school of hard knocks".

How about feeling old from this...the guy who taught me to drive did it in 2 different trucks. A U model Mack and an R model Mack. The 1st truck I was assigned full time was an R model with no power steering or air ride, and a torsion ride seat. It used almost as much oil as it did diesel. The last truck I drove for them was a '74 R model with air assist steering, positive ground electrical system and an air controlled winter front. It had 3.2 million miles on the chassis. 3rd engine, 2nd Maxidyne transmission and the rear diffs had been rebuilt twice...on the old Mack Camel-back spring suspension. Today's drivers would quit if you asked them to drive that truck.

I freaking finally got out of the dealer after 6.5 days of being down. New turbo actuator, new clutch, and coolant leak repaired for a grand total of $7864.45, ain’t life grand. Now let’s see if I can keep this SOB out of any shops for awhile.

In the coming weeks I will need a full service, and a set of steers, but hopefully no major repairs for a few months.

Sitting at the CB yard heading to Four Oaks for Thursday or Friday.
