Keep checking the forecast. Originally I was gonna stay in Amarillo, but yesterday they were calling for some morning freezing drizzle. Now that has changed and no ice in TX but between the TX/NM line and Tucumcari they're calling for up to 1/10 inch of ice and some snow showers and cold for a day or so.

Has anyone been to Epson in Huntington Beach, CA? The directions I got from the macro were…. lacking.

On a 7/3 split right now. Running Dallas-KC-Dallas-KC-Home for the weekend. On my second leg back down to Dallas. Hoping to get this dropped in Lancaster and pulling my final load out of the drop yard before it gets too late in the morning. Leaving Guthrie now. My 70 will be mostly spent when I pull back into town, but I’ll have my miles for the week. Though I won’t be able to go out again until Wednesday.

So it wound up taking the TA 6 hours to finish changing the trailer tire on Tuesday. Busted backside to find a TA that had a lull to get it retorqued and do my drop and hooks in Bolingbrook and Frankfort, IL, then shut down in Morris.
Wednesday ate breakfast at the TA restaurant which was quite nice at first and headed down the road only to get progressively sicker as the day rolled on. Finally pulled the plug on the day in CB and after a couple hours more misery my body did a return to sender and I was able to sleep.
Left obscenely early Thursday morning and did my drop in North Platte…and found a nail in a tire on my empty. Really, really wanted to say “I didn’t see that” but because I’m an idiot I called it in. Went to the Loves right there and they predicted a 5 1/2 to 6 hour wait so the next answer breakdown had was the Boss shop behind the J which got me in after about an hour and took about an hour to remove, patch and reinstall the tire. Of course driving it in the bay knocked me into driving and prevented a split break. So did my Drop and Hook in Aurora and shut down at a little independent truckstop with 5 minutes left on my clock.
Ran like hell on Friday and made it to the Utah welcome center, which was a pretty neat little place.
Got my load assignment on the way which is going to be incredibly tight with appointments at both ends.
So that created a quandary since I need to have hours Monday to make this happen. So I ran 650 miles to the receiver and then PCed back to Barstow to take my reset.
Probably should have said I can’t do it, but it is technically possible if I don’t stop at all except for fuel. Pickup appointment is at 10 AM on the other side of LA with no parking at the shipper. GPS says it’s a 2 hour and 20 minute trip for 117 miles , but Monday morning traffic I’m sure is going to make that more like 3 1/2 hours at least. Then need to run balls to wall to Seattle for an early morning appointment (naturally with no parking and none in the area that isn’t super expensive pay to park). Roughly 1150 miles and 2 ten hour breaks that needs to fit in roughly 42 hours.Bud A., dwells40, MidWest_MacDaddy and 1 other person Thank this. -
