Long as they see the “year” to be compliant, you can register. It’s a matter of time before you’ll probably need to pass a sniffer test I reckon.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Your understanding is correct unfortunately. o_O:confused: They’ve used that phrase long as I’ve been trucking and that’s back as 1979

By January 1, 2024, CARB will require medium and heavy vehicles with a GVWR >14,000 LBS to register in the CARB system, pay a registration fee of $30, and begin transmitting vehicle emission data to CARB bi-annually.

Looks like these are your options or trade for another truck.

    Good luck

Dave has it all wrong - fear not.

Im the early 70’s retired folks would gather in the rest areas and bring their preserves and garden offerings, often giving hard working truckers a jar of pickles.

See - Uncle Blair just let you sleep easier.

Oh, and your Labrador when you were a kid is still happily running around on that farm just outside of town.

bro you just had to build up my hopes and just crush it with the lab story.

I shall now forever associate labs, pickles, rest area and alphabet people.

there is no winning with you guys.

I should stop before you all crush my memories of rainbows.

I'm sure some EPA agent or DOT in Commiefornia right now has been alerted of this thread and is triangulating your position.
Shortly a helicopter team and tow truck about to drop down on your location :hiding:
