back when i was driving full time when I got home and parked truck i was clocked out. Until I got back in it the next morning i was then clocked back in. That was all i was getting paid for on my check.
Nowadays 99.9 percent of the time i clock out at warehouse at 6pm. Drive home in truck 25-30 mins away off the clock. Get home and have din din with the wife and doggies and then go out around 7:15-7:30 to the shop to work on truck or car or house or put out little fires here and there on property till 10 or 11 every night. Heck friends or family may come over to have something hammered out, welded up, maybe a tire repair or something. They may give me $20 bucks or a $100 or maybe just a hand shake or a hug for the help. I even cut hay for cash with an old Ford 4600 till 10 or 11 at night. Go to bed between 11- midnight and wake up around 3 am to whiz. Back to sleep and then back up at 5:15 to crap, shower, and shave, and breakfast. Then leave house in truck at 6:15 off the clock for the 25-30min drive back to warehouse to finally clock in between 6:45-6:50 just to do it all over again ground hog style.
Should I log that as “on duty not driving”?Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
