@motocross25 the only thing I know that would be coming from Ocala is lime out of Lhoist, I load there pretty regularly so if that’s the place give me a heads up, I also live in Ocala so I’m bound to run in to you. We have a lot of winters down here, winter haven, winter park, winter springs, winter garden, kind of ridiculous, they’re feel good name for the old folks to be reminded that they’re escaping the cold temps with our wonderful heat and humidity!
to all end dump haulers...

. Suppose no harm in shareing though, but yea the new 18 speed got purchased with cash and is installed. It WAS done on friday but they ordered a standard shift tower off the vin.....and mine has a foward mount cut because as per usual my vin number is entirely wrong and as accurate as reading pig entrails (part of me is starting to suspect the truck was rebuilt with diffrent parts at some point before i bought it....it would go a long war to explaining a lot of the weirdness) so im here till end of day monday maybe mid afternoon tuesday. Been sitting since the 11th.
As for the PTO its a bit of an oddball brand so pump has a lot of non rebuildable parts in it and would need to be cut open to access them thus destroying it. So whole thing needs to be replaced. I plan to do that sometime next year since this pump is on a 6 month backorder. For now i got a used one from a scraped truck so its as good as it can be and after i recover from the new 18 speed ill replace the whole system.Oxbow, NightWind and motocross25 Thank this. -

I must be in the wrong business I need to open a truck wash. $207 to get cleaned up because they had to charge extra for “de-mudding”. The mud is the reason I’m here. This is a truck wash. Whatever. Either way I’ll be driving slow for the rest of the week trying to keep it clean for the holidays. -
Are you back under the shorty @motocross25 or still pulling frameless? Hard to tell from the pic, truck looks super nice though!
Oxbow, NightWind, Friend and 1 other person Thank this. -
Swapped back to a shorty @Trashtrucker1707 some local work ramped up so I been knocking that out. I get to go to Climax CO tomorrow so I’ll be interested to report back on how these auto chains work. It’ll either be great, or I’ll be dead on the side of a mountain somewhere.

Well let’s hope for positive results! I’m working until Friday then braving the madness and traveling to Nashville on Tuesday after Christmas, wish me luck.
NightWind Thanks this. -
And its done step 1 of 3 to make a custom truck complete and install a real transmission in a plastic truck achevimeny unlocked
. Also hoooooly sheeeet i knew my old one was bad but driving with this thing only highlights just HOW bad it was. Jesus
Better shot.
Its actully not as tall as it looks. When the seat has air its about half an inch taller then my arm rest. Much more comfortable then the one it had that was at mid thigh level lol.
Its like they dont design these things for dudes over 6 foot tall or something.Last edited: Dec 19, 2023

Looks good @Arctic_fox thanks for the updates! I blasted across 70 today and made it to the bottom of Copper Mountain. Tomorrow I try out me chains, reload in Penrose and come back to Kansas. I was told this morning by HR I have 5 days of vacation to use before the end of the year that I didn’t know I had. So I’m taking them when I get back and off all week next week. So that was a pleasant surprise.
Friend, Arctic_fox, Sons Hero and 1 other person Thank this.
