have to disagree on the “4wheelers not wanting to follow trucks.” In fact they like to hang out on your driver side right behind the trailer. And soon as you turn blinker on to change lanes, they decide to screw with you with a slow speed up then switch to your lane and slow down.
Why do people speed up when you try to pass them?

I do follow the rules, or else I'd get tickets. Right?Last edited: Jan 14, 2024

You are the one who invited this when you complained about people speeding through work zones. I used to drink under age, but never got arrested. Does that mean I was following the rules? If you want to be a lemming, fine, just don't complain about the other lemmings doing the same thing unless you are ready to be criticized. Did you make this thread for a discussion or just to whine?

My theory is that their daddies didn't pay enough attention to them when they were young. I always picture some 50 IQ driver laughing like a retard when he speeds up.

So get lost, dude. Nobody cares about your holier than thou attitude. If I would speed I would get tickets. I drive through 50 radar guns a day. Are you even a driver? You sound like a liberal complainer. Let me guess, when you get behind a deleted truck you complain about the smoke, huh? You gonna vote for Biden again in November?Last edited by a moderator: Jan 15, 2024

It's infuriating to see a merging driver stay starboard side of me, dead to the world, while traffic wanting to pass on the left is queuing up on my six.Last edited: Jan 15, 2024
Bud A., Tall Mike, tarmadilo and 1 other person Thank this. -

If I am keeping my speed down for collision avoidance purposes, and during the process, you run completely out of following distance behind me, match my speed, then pop out and attempt to pass, I might increase my speed - simply because I want *you* to speed up so that when you inevitably get slightly ahead, I only have to drop to the speed I started at when backing off to prevent a collision.
(if you don't run in packs, change lanes *before* passing, and have a sensible passing speed, this does not apply) -
Most drivers don’t intentionally speed up when they see someone trying to pass. There are some tho for sure. These fools have no self control and allow their inflated egos to control their actions. Anytime you think you have more right to the road than anyone else you are being a moron.
