Actually, it hasn't been terribly intrusive. I've only felt compelled to modify behavior slightly. For example, I now eat bananas sideways.

Worked for JB Hunt out of Haslet for 4 weeks. Never got a truck. The mechanic told me he needed a letter from my doctor to prove that I use a CPAP so he could install an inverter in a truck when I get assigned one. I asked him if he knew how to spell HIPPA. The office manager told him he had no right to ask for that. JB Hunt wanted me to sign some paperwork that stated that if my CPAP ruins their inverter then I would owe them $650 for the inverter. I ask them how much will them pay me if the inverter ruins my CPAP? They then proceeded to tell me that they could lower that figure. I ask if I am bargaining for my job. I left and never looked back. What a joke.

From what I’ve read lately they’re still up to their old bait and switch tricks.

They run sleeper trucks on intermodal? I thought they were mostly day cabs these days…..?

Don't know about all that. They told me if I bought an inverter shop would install it. Then it becomes theirs. I lucked out and got a truck that already had one.

I think every division is different. The group I'm with is the same one I worked for before and everything promised has been delivered so far.

I'm regional intermodal so I'm out in the sleeper 5 days at a time. Unlike local, regional is not slip seating. It's a shrinky dink cascadia and it's taking me a minute to get over trying to pack for months instead of days.

I run a similar schedule with my private fleet. Run Mon-Fri. Have a bag with toothpaste etc for daily shower. Carry a small backpack in to change clothes. Have another backpack that I take home on the weekend to reload clothes. Radio, GPS and everything else stays in the truck. Been in current truck 4 years, new one arriving in April.
