JC1971 Thanks this.

while many drivers can fix things and patch them to get them to work, many others are so clueless to proper repairs that they are an accident looking for a place to happen.
get the right tools, do it right. The tool is cheap, the fittings are cheap, the hose is cheap. -
Geez, a compression fitting seals by the ferrule around the nipple, not the end of the hose in the fitting.
Obvious some have no idea how something works and makes inane remarks. -
And on a brass fitting, there is a brass tube the hose goes over, so when you screw on the nut,
it has something to compress upon. The taper on both sides of the ferrule pushes down on,
and compresses ferrule body for an airtight seal.
Takeaway here is, a roadside "fix" is temporary, and not the permanent repair.
Back at the shop, replace the entire length of hose to eliminate your temporary splice. -

Super glue is brittle. Even if it works in the moment it will fail quickly if the hose bends near the repair.
I've wrapped duct tape over it being very careful to clean the area first, wrap the tape with zero creases.JC1971 and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
I can report that Super Glue will not stop the leak 100%. I thought it would get down into the hole and bind to the edges and seal it really well but it didn't. As tscottme said, it's brittle and if you bend the hose you can hear the air leak increase a little bit. It got me to the Love's.
Not sure what parts I need to do a proper repair. I'll have to look into it for next time. -

I have my air lines on quick connects so I would just swap service/emergency to get to the nearest shop to replace the line
I also have unions but I hate using them, just another spot to leak.
I also keep my other air lines that connect on my deck plate in the tool box and another set for my Cali connects as well.
