    Ah.
A bit of a hike yet. Personally I may have tried and ran it in once tire was fixed, take care of the light bar later. I always did carry those magnet red lights though. If I knew the other repair was 6 hours away.

Plus it was raining pretty good last night and they’re super picky about safety stuff. I logged on one minute too soon and screwed up my hours in terms of reset when I first started here as the ELD they use is rather counter intuitive and your reset clocks are a tad confusing. I realized what I did right after I did it but I went ahead and ran the load out at 0300 to be at appointment at 0630. Long story short safety wrote me up for a log violation and put me on probation. Now mind you I have a rock solid employment history, never been fired, never a chargeable accident, over 30 years and 3,000,000 miles, only two speeding tickets ever, one I deserved and one I didn’t and both are old enough to buy you a drink, so no, they’re going to fix the truck to safety standards or it ain’t moving with me behind the wheel. I hate to be like that but it’s the world we live in. You can bet if I got busted running the truck in like that they would not stand behind me or hesitate to write me up. Sad state of affairs. Before anyone comes out with “I wouldn’t work for a company like that”, the money is great the hometime is great the equipment is kept in good shape and the work isn’t hard. So there’s trade offs to be made but I don’t for one minute operate under the delusion they’d take the blame if someone ran into the back of me and sued the bejesus out of us for no rear taillights and brake/turn lightd

Could be the owner of the trailers or his fleet manager is a devout K R follower too. Many took everything he said to heart. I’ve yet to talk to anyone that praise super singles, but that’s just me as a lone wolf in this industry….

Lmao, yeah he could have gone to a certified master contractor revival. He’d definitely be a kook aid drinker. I’m getting breakdown pay so it’s all good I guess . The money will still hit my account on Thursday. These trailers have all the bells and whistles, super singles, central tire inflation, disc brakes, anti roll technology, lift axles

Didn’t someone try automatic fairing extensions between the tractor and trailer at some point? I thought it was UPS?

Had a company truck that ran supers years ago that had the left front blow. Took the welds off the fuel tank end cap. You guessed it…hazard spill. 13 hours on the side of the road. Big ol mess.
