Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Unloaded in Bama,9 trucks at this one,live loading at a Walmart not to far up the way,headed to Winston Salem,Nc.

 

They finally got me empty at 12 and got to 495 and 5 mph all the way to 295 then it cleared then backed up again on 95 through the GW bridge then finally out of the traffic in Jersey to Pa. Missed the pick up window next load so parked at the Pilot in Pinegrove til sunrise cuz I can’t pick up until 0800. DM said drop it soon as I can get to Ashland. Probably bounce me to Wytheville next being I got home time coming Thursday til Tuesday.

 

They changed the Nc delivery to an up the road delivery in AL for the am,200 miles today I'm thankful.
After I'm unloaded I deadhead up to Loudoun,Tn,for that drop in Shoemakersville,Pa.

 

Whenever possible, I avoid GWB on the way back south. Unfortunately, it's not really possible when you deliver to Long Island.

 

They put a short NC load on me after dropping in Ashland before going home, or so I thought. I accidentally read the load assignment wrong and thought the load was on the Richmond yard so I bounced down there and drove around looking for the trailer and didn’t see it anywhere so I called my DM and she asked if I was at Wytheville and I said no, Richmond. I was so tired I decided to shutdown and head out in the morning to Wytheville then NC. Load not due til noon and only 109 miles from Wytheville. The northeast running really wears me out with the traffic, especially NYC/Long Island.

 

Got that Volvo load delivered in Nc then bounced me to Gatorade to drop the empty. Finally made it home 1930 last night. Was getting worried I was going to miss my eye doctor appointment this morning. Got new contacts and glasses so I can finally see better than I have been through my scratched up beater glasses, lol! Out again Tuesday morning.

 

Dropped my Shoemakersville load,and was given hangers out of Ct coming back down to Jersey.Finshed that,now i'm delivering in Aurora,Il in the am,from way of Jersey.

 

Ouch. Crap, followed by more crap.

 

Came off home time and bobtailed back to Wytheville and got a frozen load of stuff going to Stafford, Va for 2000. Only one piece of paper in the box and it wasn’t a typical BOL. Got to the receiver and everyone is confused as to what stuff is because there was no actual BOL. Wondering if the driver decided they absolutely had to scan something in for a yard drop and kept the BOL. Receiver said park off to the side and they will call when stuff is figured out. Supposed to bounce down to Richmond after empty to get a physical in the morning since mine expires next Wednesday.

 

Finally got out of there at Midnight and to the yard after 0100. Got a new two year physical thankfully, been getting one year due to BP but nothing abnormal according to my regular doc. It is like my BP goes up soon as I get into the truck after few days off and goes down when I get out, lol! Got selected for random wiz quiz and breathalyzer. Only provided enough for my physical so gotta drink some caffeinated beverages and water to go again.
