Experience with California post 2010 truck ban?

Everything changed a few months back. Now you have to be enrolled in the Clean Truck (whatever they call it) Pay the $30 enrollment fee and have your truck smog tested every year? which from what I heard is $100?

I paid the fee but I’m not required to get the smog test until November. It goes by your vin number as to when the test is due.

So far I have been into CA once since enrolling and was somewhat impressed by the elevated rates.

 

Well he was at the Truck Tub in Tulare getting his 97 washed about 2 hours ago. Plenty of old trucks still running out there without signing up for their program.

I live on the east coast equivalent of CA and haven’t heard much of that other then the ports in Jersey,

Even with chevron getting overturned I’m sure at some point they will tell me park that antique in the barn where it belongs and run something newer though

 

They’ve been trying to push that through over here.
