Can the "L" button be used to hold gears while going down hills and mountains???

Not really.. The "Low" setting will not let the trans upshift but it will look for every opportunity to downshift..

I use it if I'm trying to slow down going down hill.

If I'm just trying to maintain speed I use Manual and my jakes..

    The Challenger Thanks this.

Ken is right. On steep grades use manual mode and make #### good and sure to not get into too high a gear . You will be in for wild ride or worse. Slow and alive is a lot better than having to go up a runaway ramp-if you should live to reach one. Low maintains and will look for lower gear. Never saw much use for it it you use the manual settings correctly. Never driven the Ultra shift w/ one peddle. But I imagine it's about the same as Auto shift. except for taking off and stopping. I know a bunch of the Aussies on You tube love the 18 ultra shift. But with the giant stuff they put together I guess anything to make it easier is welcomed. Just mess w/ it on easy grades and you will see what it will do.

Yes sir Couch Commander. Say Ken when do you work???

Personally, I do not take pics without permission and if that ever happens there wont be pics because my boss will not be happy. That is my number one policy for all shots. However my camera went up the creek. I'll get a new one soon.

5t.8 is good for and egr detroit. i was getting 5 when i bought mine. its now getting 6.2 but ive spent money on upgrades that your not going to do on a co truck.

your fifth wheel iss too far back. my trlo sits about 6 inches in front of the quarter fender flaps and im 12k on the steer with 33800 on the drives. i picked u a .5mpg gain sliding the trl up. it5 was stuck a foot back when i bougght the truck.
i picked up .5mpg from the pitsburg power muffler but u arent going to sspend $160 on a company truck.

besides what do you care as long as the boss doesnt? its not your fuel bill
