Nvm I read what else you posted. They are going to make up penalties.

Uh, what? They charge for orientation twice? That is only if you don't stay at least 90 days, right? Just because they say they will do that even if you agreed to it doesn't necessarily mean its legal to do so.I would weigh my options I guess if I was in your situation. If you are close to the 90 days being done where they can't charge you anything just say you were upset and in your feelings when you said you would quit, or said "I quit". I am sure they hear it many times a week if not every day. It happens.

As for KLLM, my brother drove for them for a while. He didn't have anything bad to say about them while he was there. I do know if you qualify for a sign on bonus they do it pay it as promised.

A quitting fee? That has to be on your contract. If you don’t mind, could you post a pic of this? I would love to see it. Should make for a good laugh.

Next time you sign a contract, have a black marker with you. If there is part of a contract that you do not agree with, mark it out with the black marker and initial it. I had a contract as an owner op that said something about me paying $3000 for some Qualcomm system when I quit. I marked it out and initialed and handed the contract in. The company went with it. I am not guaranteeing anything but usually there’s room to negotiate.

I will look at it too. I am pretty sure they definitely cannot charge you twice for orientation, that would be unjust enrichment, I think. But I am not a lawyer, either.

Sounds like they’re counting on you not being smart or smart enough to ask questions. Or the one thing they don’t want you to do is ask a lawyer. I’m thinking they’re “hoping” betting you won’t or don’t know any better. You asking is the best step forward.

Nobody lives long enough to make all the mistakes themselves. It's better to learn from the mistakes of others. It's certainly less painful and frustrating. If only there was some meeting point on the internet where people could ask questions before "jumping off a bridge" to find out if gravity is a theory or just a conspiracy? I'm learning you can't help someone that doesn't care about the outcome.

You have to tell the company you cannot drive because you are fatigued before you can claim the company forced you to drive when you were fatigued.
