I don’t worry about Texas too much because enforcement is really lax. But Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas all severely limit a quad. I think Oklahoma may actually be easing up some. Arizona used to actually penalize you. Got more weight on a tri and on a quad.

Never hauled crazy oversize, dragged a 400 excavator around quite a bit for a guy several years ago. But this was an interesting one picking up a harvester. I was right on the mark at 15’, which my permit allowed. Turns out there was a set of wires that did not allow.
