There are a lot of nervous drivers here at the moment, especially us "extended" local/regional OD/OS guys. This new Idle setting pose's problems when you're trying to air up and check height on 4 axle trailers. We are getting new peoplenet in the next month, so for the near future we have to run with two e logs. It'll be interesting.

They're putting Peoplenet back in? I thought all Daseke companies (or former Daseke companies)were being forced to use Sam-crappa

nope.... Peoplenet. Seen it for my self.

They're just keeping you on Sam-crappa. For the entertainment value.

Could you turn around in there?

Or did you have to back out?

Maybe the canuks will see how much of a POS the Sam-crappa is and switch us back. I never thought Peoplenet was worth a crap until we got these. Now, I would love to have a Peoplenet again.

We have a few dry vans for some dedicated accounts - out of the twin cities we also pull cans with equipment for a a few local customers, well we did but ya’lls red trucks may be taking some of the twin cities business.

Not my red truck. I drive a white corn field caddy day cab. Lol. I see you commenting on this thread so I figured I’d derail it for a minute.

'Ha, we've had longer trucks than that backing out of here'.

or, 'can't turn it in this space? We had a bloke in here last week that backed round, blind side, and he only had one eye' upload_2024-10-27_17-55-11.png

I’m a firm believer of backing out onto the road should be a last resort. I blind sided into the driveway and drove out.

if you think you hate them, you should try the office side of them. My boss has to clear out every single stop for all of his drivers. If he gets behind and one of our calls actually goes through, all the stops before that error out and screws everything up. Peoplenet was much better.

I did finally find a downside to using my phone for the eld vs the tablet. Locally the tablet uses the wifi vs my cellphone using the cell signals to communicate to the app and back to the truck. No cell coverage = no duty status changes. I had to log into the tablet for the first time in ages because I had no signal in the backwoods of TN. When I pulled into the truck stop 22 miles after delivery I had 7 min on my 70.
