Have you ever given a stranger a ride?

Not recently, but I've given several over the years. It always fit the "Damsel In Distress" narrative. The vulnerable female that was going to be devoured by a dragon (or serial killer) if I didn't help her.

I gave one a ride from the Flying J in Indianapolis all the way to Sayre Oklahoma. OMG in merciful heavens she was hot. ..and crazy. But I was mindful of my role as a Good Samaritan and never laid a finger on her. I thought about it though.

 

I always drive day cabs so it is very difficult to hide the bodies or make them still look alive while sitting in the passenger seat. Lol.

 

Dorsett 221. I miss that place. The southern gateway to the weirdness of Austin. Lol.

 

This is the best retirement hobby to have ever.

 

That's one way to beat those HOV-2 lanes...

I bet that would be a killer ride.

Once about 4 years ago. Rest stop on I 84 in Utah. A crew cab pulling a horse trailer pulled in as I was getting up.

Pulled myself together, truck and horse trailer had left. As I was filling in my logs noticed some guy walking up the rest stop access to the freeway.

Comes up to my truck and asked if he could use my cell phone. He had been sleeping the back of the pickup and wife had got out to go to the bathroom. He woke up and did the same. Wife didn't notice he had gotten up and took off without him.

Gave him a ride up the road and met up with his wife just before the I 80 junction.
