Oh the wonders of today's modern trucks. Do we really need all these electronic gremlins? Computers, electric logs, sensors foe everything, DEF and the list is long. We did fine with the old B and R Mack's. No electronics but we gave up the frills like p/s, a/c, bunks with all the cooking gadgets and chrome but they ran for a million miles before overhaul. We are spoiled and pay the price for these creature comforts.

You could have all of the above without computers and sensors.

Well, the issue has been resolved. I went over to the Assemblies of Yahweh gift shop and purchased a Techelet(the equivalent of Jewish prayer beads), then went across the street to the Holy Trinity of Alternate Beliefs chapel and bought some holy water...used both and in a loud voice I said "DEMONS BE GONE"...and a green cloud appears and then dissipated....

Not really, after I backed out of my parking spot and eased thru the truckstop, the warning lights went out after I hit 10 mph. So all is right in the Sweedish Dog world.

Oh, and I am not picking up train wheels, I am picking up train axles. Guess I should look closer at my load info.

42,000 lbs of 'the big boys' (that's what the shipper called them). Scale on the trailer said I was 37,300 with the axles closed, 33,500 with them open, which is inaccurate, here is what a CAT scale app said

2 new developments with my S-Dog of a truck(unrelated to the EM issue from yesterday). My washer fluid tank has sprung a leak. After leaving the shipper yesterday, I took the US-scenic routes over to I-99, which has a few decent up and down grades. On some of the steeper downhill sections, I would get the "washer fluid low" message pop up on the display screen, which is odd because I had been in and out of rain and mist most of the day and hadn't used any washer fluid. I added some just to shut it up. This morning when I started the truck to build air and to activate the Sam-crappa gateway, I got the message again. When I got out to go use the restroom, there was a puddle under my driver's side steps.(And it didn't rain last night). I put the rest of the jug in and watched, and sure enough, from behind the batteries there was a drip....drip....drip running off the top of the air tanks onto the ground.

I also added a half gallon of coolant last weekend on my 34. While I had my hood open for the washer fluid, I noticed my coolant reservoir was already down to just below the MIN line. This truck usually loses/burns about a 1/2 gallon per month, so I checked for more leaks. The only place I see fresh coolant is on top of the water filter. I got a slight movement when I tried to tighten it, but it wasn't enough to be what I would call loose. I can't see behind the filter on the water pump to see if something there is leaking, and I don't see any coolant on the inside if the pulley where a weep hole usually drips. I rinsed off the top of the filter and if it comes back, there is a shut-off for the filter on the housing. I'll shut it off to see if it makes a difference.
