Rough math says sending it ltl would be $4,000-$4,500. An extra $1,000 to control delivery and ensure the freight doesn't get crushed isn't that much more.

Well I hit 300K on the truck today. So far I have only had the DEF pump go out and had a plastic front piece fly off the other day. Still under warranty so they will replace it when I go back to shop. Other than that very little minor issues but has been a solid truck.
After winter is over I need to order two parts on the Flow Below. One part broke down about 1/4 of the way down on the rear drivers side and I have a middle one cracked on the passenger side that is still hanging on but will most likely break this winter. Figure I'll wait until after that one breaks before I buy the replacements. Not that big of a deal but something that needs to get fixed.
Going down to FL I got 9 MPG's and drove the speed limit the whole time. So not to bad considering the weather.D.Tibbitt, 77fib77 and Constant Learner Thank this. -

Well I have not updated in a while and I won't be doing it either on this one. ha ha
At 370K miles right now and have been running faster and harder for a little bit. For sure not good on fuel economy when doing that and was doing some heavy stuff. Finally caught up to my truck yesterday. Been very lucky and not had any issues at all since the first year of getting the truck.
Yesterday I had a coolant light pop up telling me to pull over. Luckily I was within a couple miles of a rest area and pulled over to check out what was going on. Turns out the coolant over flow tank had cracked where to bottom hose attaches. I have heard others have this issue so was not a surprise to see it give out. I have quit a bit of stuff to fix stuff in the truck but the epoxy I had was dried up and nothing in the little store at rest area.
I have this little hobby glue gun and thought it might work good enough to make my 3 delivers I needed to get done that day. So I drained the tank and glued the #### out of it. After getting it done I jumped in the Free shower in OH Rest area so it would have more time to harden up. Come back out and the dumb truck driver next to me decided to throw a couple bags of trash out.
Called the guy out on it and he wants to talk #### and all that BS. After a few minutes of him running his trap and telling him to shut his mouth he finally picks up the trash and then moves on a few minutes later. How anyone can think that kind of action is acceptable is beyond me. Lots of trash cans in the area, takes 2 minutes to walk across the lot to throw it in a trash can. Lazy nasty truckers are the worst!
Anyways got the first delivered and of course the glue melted but managed to stay good enough to push it into the cracks. Still leaked the whole time but did not have to add any more in it. Managed to find a Volvo dealer 30 minutes away and gave them a call. They had the tank in stock and could knock it out that night.
Place was called General Truck Sales in Toledo OH. Brand new shop and nice guys to work with. Got there about 4PM and left around 7 PM with new tank. When I bought the truck I got the Extended Warranty on everything. First the guy did not think it would be covered under warranty but when he looked up the plan it covered everything. Glad I went that direction when I bought the truck.
That's about it. Running a light load from IN to MS at 9K and got 8.9 MPG's for this one doing speed limits.Midwest Trucker, 86scotty, ducnut and 3 others Thank this. -

Freightliner too.

Keep an eye on the frontside of the lower corners of the charge air cooler. Volvo are good for those cracking, too. The vibration and impacts through there are so hard on everything.
Rideandrepair, D.Tibbitt and Siinman Thank this.
