I don’t think to many team are unloaded freight themselves today. Teams are dispatched at 1200 miles a day/24 hours. Teams usually got new trucks every year you will be putting 240,000 miles a year in. Your pay will be cents per miles and if they keep you rolling you can do 240,000 miles a year

Here's an example of what Schneider offers....this availability is probably not just anywhere in the continental US, but since location isn't important for you....then at least it's a start:
Schneider team driver -- no experience req'd -- Nashville, TN
Not totally sure at this point if you can go to Schneider to each get your CDL; you can inquire within to verify, using the info in the provided above link.
Assuming you can pass their drug testing -- your biggest obstacle to on-boarding with ANY carrier.....is likely to be your lack of dedicated employment over the last 5 years.

But anywho, my first question is this - do you really know what it takes to drive a truck, any truck?
It is a skill that many do not possess.
I find a lot of people with such grand asperations or desperations can't even drive a car let alone a truck.
You are a danger on the road, you don't need to be there at all, car or truck.
Second is the reality question - where did you get the idea team drivers run all the time?
I have teams and only two run coast to coast because of the customer, and it has been rare to see consistent team freight like this.
It isn't intense or hard, it is all about time management.
Other teams select their work from different sources and run as they want to but burnout happens a lot so we have policies to stop that from happening which other companies do not.
There isn't time to sight see, or create youtube videos. As Alex said this is a job.Sons Hero Thanks this. -
I ran team as trainer many years ago. It definitely was a job. My company CR England has special team run like running for Conway way back then. Conway not in business anymore. Teams were also used to save loads when a solo driver could not make the delivery on time or his truck broke down and load needed to be saved.
when I ran team as trainer we could only stop the truck about 2 hours in a 24 hour window and still make deliveries on time. That’s two hour a day for shower, fuel and eating and bathroom breaks. Not sure how running team is today with ELDs and higher speed limits. It a job that for sure and the pressure to be on time is pretty high. You can’t be late -

You can drive 11 hrs plus you need a 30 min break after 8 hrs driving.

We had paper log books also. I would think they still dispatch at 1200 miles every 24 hours.
