Why is my clock frozen after going in sleeper berth?

Just recently started using split sleeper berth. I started my clock at 7:45 am today and delivered a load. I now have a load that picks up at 11 pm today. It is 9:51 pm as you can see by the picture. I went in the sleeper berth for 2 hours on my delivery this morning and it extended my clock for 2 hours. My clock was counting down when I did my 2 hour split. Why is it not counting down now? I am now at the 11pm customer and been in sleeper for 5 hours. If I drive before I get to 7 hours in the sleeper berth, will my clock still say 5 hours? I don’t want to drive and the frozen time I supposedly have goes to zero and I get a violation or something.

I think it freezes at 3 hours of sleeper time. I don't run into it very often. Maybe once every two months

If I start driving now, do I keep the time? Or should I wait until it says 7 hours?

If you did a 2 hour split then you need 8 hours in the sleeper. If you did 3 then you would need only 7 in the sleeper.

Both of your off-duty/sleeper period & sleeper berth period must add to 10. 2 sleeper + 7 sleeper equals 9, like @wulfman75 said.

I rarely use Sleeper Berth, less things to worry about, keep things simple you know.

You know you can't use split break without at least one 7 hour sleeper period, I hope.

OK. To be clear, if a truck doesn't have a sleeper, you can't take a split break in that truck.
