What is the attraction with peterbilts

If I wanted a show truck I’d own a Peterbilt or W9, but for making money? Nah. I like my money too much. Do the math and on fuel alone it makes no sense to drive a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick. It’s like those stretched frames and flat tops. They look great in calendars that’s it. And chrome? Don’t need it. If it doesn’t save you money or make you money keep it off your rig.

…and about washing. IMO and in my experience washing your truck at a truck wash is about the dumbest thing you can do. You want rust? Keep washing it at a truck wash. You don’t want rust? Wash it yourself and use fluid film every fall before winter. Do NOT wash off the old film. Just spray it over the dirt.

 

You must also have the 4ft shifter and log chain on your wallet.

 

A show truck is something I don’t want to own in any brand. Most times they go too far with paint and accessories and the trucks look gaudy maybe. However I do like a nice work truck, something I really like the look of. That journey is half the fun being honest. I would rather spend what I seei and have a truck I’m proud of because I’m in it every day.

 

A good clean work truck is much easier to maintain than a show princess. I drive for a private fleet and our equipment is washed every other week but I keep the inside immaculate.

 

Show trucks are great but I just like the basics. Some chicken lights, cool quarter fenders and some nice pipes and I'm happy. I have to drive into ranches and thru the oil patch so keeping it clean is a constant problem. I do try to keep the dash wiped down and the floorboard vacuumed.

 

What about gloves with no finger tips for soft palms?

 

My job as a teen was to steam clean the old man's iron every weekend. His definition of clean was it wasn't clean unless you could just about eat off of any square inch of that truck and trailer. Minimum 4 hours washing every Sat morning.

 

Yep, Tshirt 3 sizes too small with your belly hanging out the bottom too.

 

I have seen 386’s that I really liked the look of. Would I have bought it possibly hard to say. I did think it was tits.
