I had good results using something like ZZZZQuil liquid sleep aid and also LOW DOSE melatonin. I'm small so I started with 1 MG tablets. The lower the dose the better. If I took too high of a dose I had nightmares and sweated like a race horse while sleeping.

I also use ZZZQuil + a 10mg Melatonin, every night.
Cheapest I've found are at Sam's Club.

I fail to see why you can't save yourself you took the job knowing what it was and supposedly you are over 21 so save yourself. Step up and do the JOB stop crying and just do it. Sheesh.

If you ever worked nights and couldn’t sleep during the day you might understand his post! 22 years ago my excellent paying day job was leaving the state and I didn’t want to move 200 miles to follow it. So after many years of working early mornings I went to nights for another company. The worst for me was a 9pm start time working 12-14 hours which was generally my hours but it was on call so my start time varied some. Several weeks in and very little quality sleep I felt like a zombie, but I needed the job.
So maybe he isn’t crying like you seem to think and his body really isn’t handling sleeping during the day. That is exactly how I saw his post, but who knows! I would rather help him like @Chinatown is doing if I had knowledge of day work in his area than to kick him for no reason.

Did nearly 14 years, nighttime linehaul. What worked for me, was once at home for the ‘day’ was to have a hot breakfast, but not a huge meal maybe a bowl of oatmeal & toast, or a couple eggs and a piece or two of meat. Then go to bed. Generally got 5 or so hours of sleep, then spend time with the family until time to leave for the yard again at 7 pm.
I know some guys I worked with, would stay up when they got home, spent time with the family first then got to bed early afternoon and sleep till time to head for work, but that never worked for me.

I work both day and night, not a problem, I made the decision to for my own peace of mind. I don't get on this site or any other asking someone to "save me".
This is one of the problems that I feel is ruining our country. Everyone feels the need to be politically correct and not call a spade a spade. My point is HE and HE alone made the decision to work nights. He is supposed to be an ADULT not some child crying for someone to wipe his butt. He has access to Mr. google, MS Bing just like anyone else. He can figure it out.
Don't care about the reasoning, why would an supposed adult get on a TRUCKING information site and put a statement up for someone to 'save him" He knows what jobs are available in his area better than anyone else. Either step up be an adult or get out of the business.

Personally I believe he is a troll since he only made one post. Frankly I don't give a da**m
