There are 5 types of pedestrians on the roadway
1 - 50-60% - drug addicts . People who will risk anything and everything to get what they want instantly
2 - 10-20% angry/teens . They’re not quite willing to risk it all but they’re a danger to themselves and others
3 - 5-15% Gramps/ granny -almost normal but a bit slow and can become grumpy/ angry with little provocation
4 - 3-9%Cops - they want to produce revenue and know they can legally shoot but you can’t
5 -1-3% friendly/ happy - allow merging, create distance, don’t cause stress
my solution-
Since they want to put cameras everywhere, my truck has at least 3 outwards facing cameras I know of, let truckers use them…. To their advantage
truckers should be able to submit any video evidence from their cam, straight to law enforcement and the evidence should be able to be used to produce tickets.
this would over time severely cut down on the amount of drug addicts and angry drivers on the roads.
truckers would essentially be turned into a roaming mobile police force with camera-only powers.
the amount of tickets produced from the drug addicts/angry drivers would pay for road improvements, and create safer roads for everyone.
merry Christmas

Pedestrians? What are you talking about???

Not very well thought out, on any level.

I think original poster is having a little Christmas cheer early when he wrote this. Doesn’t make too much sense. But I think I get what you’re trying to say. I will say this, I’ve been out here running coast to coast over the holidays and the lunatic four wheelers, I see out here is completely out of control these last few days…The stuff I’ve seen this week that typically happens a few times a month. I’ve seen multiple times per day, people risking their lives to get to grannies Christmas ham on time in a panic and often angry at the world driving completely recklessly. It’s been a wild week out here. People seemingly have lost their minds with what theyre willing to risk to get there ten seconds early.
Be safe and patient if you’re out here driving. Although starting tomorrow, it should be nice and quiet out here as most people have gotten where they’re going. But it all starts up again in two or three days. Lol.Sons Hero, Rideandrepair, The_vett and 5 others Thank this. -
After 30 years of watching the roadway circus devolve, I’ve come to some conclusions.
A drivers license needs to be expensive and very difficult to obtain. It should also be extremely easy to lose. Permanently.
We need to do away with plea bargains in traffic court, and fines should be painful.
Advertising attorneys have convinced the general public that they bear no personal responsibility. Any accident with a cv is an automatic payday, no matter who’s at fault.
None of this will ever happen. The motoring public will continue to get dumber and more aggressive, and we’ll just have to deal with it.ww77, TruckDriver87, austinmike and 4 others Thank this. -

I can only imagine it had to be some pedestrian on the way to get granny’s ham, risking it all, that finally drove old Pete to flip it over.jaginFL, 77fib77, austinmike and 1 other person Thank this. -
even in the middle of no where I’m getting run off the road by drug addicts! Any time of day. Any road. Any town! It’s truly insane.
great points I like your ideas.austinmike Thanks this. -
Try spending the next 6 months watching the road, instead of everybody else.
