Colorado has the best pedestrians, I was in Aspen, minding my own business at a red light when some cracked out hillbilly starts giving me the finger, yelling, jumping on a sidewalk as if I stole his crack pipe.

Seems like a collection of non sequiturs to me...

A LITTLE? More like 'starting his second bottle of bourbon'....

Wow, you haven't been driving long, have you? Over a decade of driving, I think I saw an O/T at least 2-3 times a year. Pulled a driver out of one once, too....

You only have 5 months experience?.....

Yeah I uses to deliver in New Jersey and pull up on the sidewalk. To unload a tanker. The meth heads and open sores. Eak.

This reminds me, a few years ago I was heading east on I-68 in Maryland. Coming down the mountain into Cumberland, I'm doing the speed limit of 45 mph. This truck passes me like I'm on jack stands. He gets to the next corner and I saw the smoke rolling off his brakes, but he made it around that one and disappeared.
I get to the bridge in Cumberland, and there he is, flipped on his side blocking the road. I had just enough room to get by, so I pulled up past him and got out expecting to see something I didn't wanna see.

He's standing inside his cab, on the driver's side window. He's in there tapping on the windshield and just so calmly asking "can someone get me out?', as if this was a regular occurrence for this guy! I had to chuckle a bit as I helped him get out. He was ok thankfully, and the cops were very professional while they wrote him a handful of tickets for speeding and whatever else.
That was the only time I was the first one to the scene of a crash, and I don't need to do it again

Oh, man, that was an easy one. I'd had extensive first aid / rescue training in my teens so I always stopped to see if help was needed at a recent accident. Got burned one time trying to get a trucker out of his rig. Got cut by broken glass getting the driver of an overturned garbage truck out. Another one was a family in a station wagon that barrel-rolled 5 times in the median on I-70 in IL; there were 2 fatalities in that one.

It's been a probably 10 years since the last time was on the scene of a bad accident; a drunk guy who took a header into a utility pole, but at least he wasn't too badly injured...

Yeah I mean, it certainly wasn't a bad one, almost comical actually. But walking up to that truck not knowing what I'd find. I don't care to do that any time soon

Well, the first dead body is always the worst. By the third, you almost get used to it....
