    I have a credit card with the same bank as my debit card, but since my disability and losing my driver's license, I haven't exactly been out renting cars. In fact, I can't remember the last time I used that credit card. Pretty sure I didn't charge anything in 2024. The last time I was at the bank, one of the managers told me they might start charging me a yearly fee if I don't use the card. I just smiled and said, "If you do, I'll close the account."

    I recently had to replace the 12 year old Ipad I was using. At only 16 Gb it hasn’t had enough storage to accept an update in a long time, so the browser was years out of date. That didn’t bother me so much the battery crapping out though. They’re done once they get to the point of only being able to power up when plugged in.

    I noticed on the new one I can only text messages to people with iphones. Then I remembered the old one had a phone number attached to it, decided I certainly don’t need that anymore, and went to replace that with a land line at the house which I really don’t like not having. The Verizon place gave me this silly ### white box that you plug in, and the phone plugs in to that. It doesn’t plug into the wall, and the more I think about this contraption the less I like it. A land line works when the power goes out. This stupid set up won’t.
