I’m getting too old to pull 5 trailers in the same day. Left Vandalia this morning and dropped at the KC yard. Ran across town and grabbed a trailer to drop in Omaha. Ran to Aurora and picked up and made it back to York. 682 miles for today.

part of the reason why i’m going back to regional. I get out of the truck more often even when working. Plus i can eat healthier too and spend less money on the road. A lot easier to eat when you’re only out for 5-6 days at a time rather than 3-4 weeks

Have any of you been into Fareway at Boone IA? The address I have is 2300 8th st, but I’m seeing a dc at 2300 industrial park drive. Insight? Thanks!

Google maps has 8th and Industrial as the same road. Street view shows a sign for receiving just west of where the pin drops for 2300 8th. Looks like a big parking lot.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I’m seeing, too. Just needed some verification. Thanks! I appreciate it!

Dropped in Bethel, going down to the J to clean my trailer, then going to some place in Chambersburg for a broker load to Omaha. Reviews of the shipper look quite swell (insert sarcastic tone here) so this should be fun. At least i ain’t going into Jersey for anything

Hey everyone, I usually just lurk here, but I just found out that FCC quietly cut our 401(k) match without any announcement. If you are contributing, this basically means you just took a pay cut.

Ever get stuck on recap and can’t justify a down day to reset? I normally try to consume my 70 over 6 days which forces a 34 on either the 7th or 8th day but occasionally end up on recap for a variety of reasons. Most of the time I might have RTO coming so I might just limp along for a few days etc.

So I find myself on recap now. I was going to take a 34 on Sunday as I’ll probably end up having to take two 34s before my upcoming RTO, but if I did that I’d miss the delivery window today and be sitting waiting to deliver the next morning so I took a leisurely stroll from SC to NC up to OH and over to IL on recap.

It was actually a nice relaxing couple of days.

So now I have a 4 hour day rolling around on Wednesday so I thought that might be a good opportunity to reset. But running the numbers I’d have the same hours through Saturday running either 3 or 4 days so it doesn’t much matter.

So I guess I’ll stroll on to the weekend and end up with a reset on Sunday for the coming week before RTO. Weekend freight is normally slow anyway.

Nice lighter duty days but hard to get a good solid full day of miles back to back for sure.

So I ask the group… how do y’all like to run? Burn the Clocks and reset or just roll on with recap?

I have to admit these lighter days are just a bit more relaxing.

ya ya ya, I know… in the real days of trucking you just swapped log books and stayed caffeinated or something more potent… LOL :)

I make a reason to justify a reset. I hate running recaps unless i have to, like for upcoming hometime

Thankfully going back regional will solve that problem
