Did I say anything that wasn’t factual? Nope.

Is anything official? Nope. Was anything cut off or will they announce a simple decrease? We don’t know until it’s announced. Has anything been announced? Not yet.

FCC will announce any official changes so don’t muddy the waters over the timing. Something may or may not have leaked early. It’s just that simple.

    A cult? … LOL

No, FCC is certainly not a cult.

Just a fine place to drive with fine folks to work with who are all trying to navigate these waters the best they can. FCC is good to us Drivers and our wheels are still turning. This current economic reality will pass and we will all survive it and thrive together. We certainly don’t want FCC to fail like so many other companies during times like this and most of us understand that reality.

I know this is not my thread but if there is a moderator reading this stream, please show this piece of #### the door… thank you in advance.

lm not sure what you mean by a different vibe, I simply agreed to disagree on what constitutes a pay it’s subjective. Our match for the past year was cut and wont be applied in a few weeks. This isnt a timing issue; HR has confirmed it. If anyone doubts this, I encourage you to call HR and verify for yourself.

Help me remember what those were? I’m being serious. My mind isn’t what it once was.

They recently announced changes to the annual raises from a simple longevity raise to one based on performance well before any raises went out. They had online and in person meetings about it and addressed any and all questions. They announced the objective criteria for the expected raises. They could have just frozen them for everyone, but they didn’t.

Tim has been pretty open and honest with us for well over the last year or two regarding the current economic conditions within the industry that we work and the impacts that hit every company in this market.

This issue wasn’t announced (yet) because the announcement is probably coming. Someone leaked it. That’s not the company hiding anything.

oh wait, they did change the Truck Wash policy from 30 days to 45 days without a formal announcement… I did totally forgot that one… how dare they… lol ;-)

FCC is a good place… with good people… let’s give them all just a bit of Grace during these interesting times. We will all benefit together when the markets turn and it will.

    peace… stay safe

Technically it’s not wages so any increase or decrease doesn’t impact wages so it’s not a pay cut. it’s an incentive to invest in ones retirement. These “matching funds” are not even the employee until they are “fully vested” which can take like 5 years to become 100% vested.

These are voluntary contributions and can be changed as mentioned “with notice” of the change. Doesn’t impact back contributions or matches but future.

I’m not surprised this option wouldn’t be on the table and a bit shocked it would not have been implemented before now.

I’d say it more resembles a “profit sharing plan” than “wages”… it’s there to encourage contributions to your retirement in the good years but certainly not guaranteed in the lean years.

Big picture, our wheels are still turning and that’s what makes us our money to contribute to a retirement account… match or no match.[/QUOTE]

since it’s my wages they are basing the match off of… I count it as wages just like a bonus is. I put 10% of my wages in and my company matches 6%. I’ll be paying taxes on the match… so call it whatever you want, bonus, match, benefit, gift… they still took it away without notice.
As someone else said, FCC seemed pretty generous when things were booming… so I understand being ‘understanding’ of the penny pinching… I would just hope they are pinching the pennies at the suit and cubicle level too…

    (I don’t work for FCC)

lol … you went from “YOUR WAGES WERE JUST CUT” to “you might want to take this unofficial information into consideration when you are doing your annual review of your financial investments”… lol :)

While yes, HR will affirm a change is coming, and they will affirm the official announcement is coming.

“our match for the last year was cut”… was it? Or will they be announcing a change to the voluntary company contributions for the coming year. Big difference. I’m not sure they can make a retroactive change but I could be wrong.

I’d respectfully suggest and request, that we all just wait for the formal official announcement and then y’all can fly off about it.

Yes, it is a timing issue and please don’t everyone call HR.

We have one person that will be answering all these individual calls and it’s not her role to be making any official announcements.

Any official announcements will come from Tim.

    now, y’all chill

401K matches are often adjusted based on the company's profitability the prior year.

Oh on this I totally agree. And the tightening of the belt needs to be all encompassing. No argument there.

It is my understanding that Office Staff (I will assume both suit and cubical) have been under a raise freeze for the last year, or may two at this point.

FCC is just now making changes that impact front line drivers. Changes to raises (mentioned above) from longevity to performance. They certainly could have frozen our raises too but they didn’t. And now possible matching changes and those would impact anyone contributing to the program.

And I’m not saying it’s not a cut in an actual dollar from my pocket just clarifying it’s not the “cut in pay” it’s being portrayed to be.

Only impacts participates, only when vested, etc etc.

Just like a Profit Sharing Program is real dollars in one’s pocket, it too is subject to actual profits being made to be shared.
