Hey hindsy, I started my career at Roehl. I could only stand it 8 months. I then took a job with Barr-Nunn. Thing about Roehl is,they hound you about your mpg's constantly! And the routing will run u all the way across ohio on state routes to keep u off the toll roads. They really micro manage u. Barr-Nunn started the same stuff when I left there. They were great when I started, but a year and a half later the micro managing started to raise its ugly head.
Roehl does have some good hometime set ups,and I know nothing about millis. Good Luck to ya!!

I am not an expert by any means but from all the research I've done my choice would be Milllis as well. That is one of the few companies I am considering.

SO I have an appointment for my DOT physical with Roehl tomorrow. So this will probably make my choice a little tougher... Still looking for everyone's input and opinion...

Passed the DOT today! WOOO HOOO!!!!!! This is for Roehl. The medical place sends the DOT card and everything out to Roehl and they will give it to me there. I thought they would do something about that since they pay for the DOT physical.

I do still have my appointment with my doctor next week. Then it will be decision time. Roehl or Millis????? oh the drama... lol

Personally, I think Millis has better looking equipment. FWIW.

I worked for Roehl for 14 months. I can't imagine having to go through that again.
I have never worked for Millis.... or Swift or J.B. Hunt or any other "starter" company, but I would try them before I went to Roehl. My humble opinion.

I think I'm going with Millis in June. Had it narrowed down between Roehl and them. Just think Millis is going to the right fit right now. I know that all these starter companies have a lot of negative feedback, but you got to start somewhere. Why not the one that seems to have the least negative?

Millis runs past where I'm from quite a bit. I do see Roehl here and there. Millis pay is comparable to Van at Roehl. Roehl's training is a lot farther away making it more expensive. Then add in going to Canada with Roehl and not with Millis.
At Millis I show up with my DOT long form and my card, my permit, my ***, and 400 bucks and I'm good for school.
Roehl wants you to get the TWIC card ASAP, Get a passport or passport card, plus 185 up front 475 for the hotel, money to eat and all that. In the end the investment made up front is 1100+ dollars.

Millis about 650 and I'm good....

Hope it works! It WILL WORK!!!! IT MUST WORK!!!!!!

So after Thursday's doctor appointment I will make my commitment to Millis.
Then its off to the road I GO!!!!! See ya out there!!!!

Taking my CDL permit test tomorrow and heading to Cartersville May 16th! #### - KY CDL permit application is $24.00 then have to pay $150.00 for the permit. I mean COME ON - WTF! They charge me that since I just transfered my DL from GA to Ky since I now reside in KY. If I wait for 30 days - then its only $50.00 but cant wait 30 more days unless I extend my class date. But dont want to do that since I am not working now as it is.
