Holland Enterprises .52CPM worth it?

    This is true, though the long hauls can be a double edged sword in my opinion. Sometimes a driver may only bump 1 dock that whole week.

    Its better money to bump docks once per week. Make minimal if anything for the time getting loaded and unloaded everyday when we get paid CPM. Plus loading and unloading more often opens you up to the possibility of getting stuck at a dock for 8 hours

    Best reputation for long runs best for CPM in my opinion, as long as they can keep you going in the bad 2+yr market conditions of late. This has started to affect some of the big boys, too. So, keep that in mind as per your expectations.

    % or hourly could be a whole different story, but that is not the situation.

    Think you made a good decision for exactly the reasons you stated. If your not rolling on CPM, your not earning. Short runs, just open door to too much & little to no compensation for your time.

    You get no gain to the benefits of the higher $ rates on short runs, since you are set CPM.

    ALL drop & hook I can see a bit differently, but still cuts into time to a degree. And, ALL drop & hook will be a rare bird right now for you.

    You have the biggest thing figured out.What you want long haul and Holland has the reputation for just that.52 cents isn’t bad do your job for 6 months and start asking for the 56

    I never understood why some drivers want to bump a dock once a day . All that does is open a door to problems . For me it's either long haul , or local 5 stops a day . Nothing in between. You won't get 3600 miles a week doing little 478 mile runs .

    Ive been with them almost a year. So far they’ve been great, only fly in the soup right now is sometimes communication between departments lags a bit. But as long as the driver is doing their job they get left alone. I started a bit higher but that’s with a clean record. They are a bit picky choosing drivers and I think if someone has a little glitch on their record the amount could get knocked down a cent or two. They will give you all the miles you can run. Equipment is well taken care of and there isn’t any micromanaging,,, none of that “fuel routing”.

    also keep in mind with the markets going crazy and the tariff situation it could affect freight for the whole industry. Since you’ll be hauling mostly refrigerated food it shouldn’t affect that part of the freight market too much.
