Was a German lady here./ (gone now) that could tell of WWII. She recalled when the Russian army was advancing into Germany, she was about 13, and she drove one wagon with her father driving the other. She had all their possession movable in her wagon and he had her mother and smaller siblings in his. They were heading back deeper into Germany due to the reports of the rape and abuse the Russian soldiers were doing as they came in.
Another, (still here) was in (now) Chechen and came to Canada as a displaced person, married there and emigrated on here.
It is something to sit and listen to them talk of these days. The German lady had some of her folks over from Germany several; years ago. They could not speak English. The German lady who lived here had a married sister living in Myrtle, MS 25 miles away.
So, Emma talked to her folks from Germany, and the sister repeated both sides to us . Amazing..
I had a male cousin in the Army in WWII, and his sister was an Army nurse. In 1945, me 10 years old, was not permitted to listen in as their dad (my fathers twin) talked with them about their experiences.

@tramm01 I had a neighbor near us several years ago who had a 250/3000 Savage lever action. Beautiful riffle.
Reading on it once there were remarks of it's "flat shooting." . Not sure of what it meant, but you saw the target hit about the time you heard it "crack".

The OM feels like a full body cavity search is warranted for all large carriers for non compliant drivers.

    Effective tomorrow.

Flat trajectory. Straight shooter. High muzzle velocity. 7mm mag has a 2800 ft/sec muzzle velocity. So 1/2 mile in a second. Clear as mud.
