I'm sitting here looking at this load (looks awesome by the way) and it kinda makes me wonder if any of the average motorists you pass on the road ever count the number of cars on the trailer, and if that makes anyone stop and think about how much weight is on a typical loaded semi.

    Nope... probably not.

Peoria is exactly where I got those. Sounds like the same place. Scale in, get in line, load, secure, scale. Long line of trucks. It's relatively easy and compared to tarping, it is. The strapping is a pain on a ATS step deck because there's no normal place to put securement over the back 15-20feet of the trailer because ATS modified them so you cannot roll winches that far. The upper deck has limited winches too. I basically hate step decks for a load that has 10-11 consecutive things like coils that should be easy to just throw straps. Plus is was 100 degrees in that securement area today!

Melton did that. I was new to flatbed and just thought tarping stainless steel coils was normal.. That really sucks

Ha! I think the vast majority. Of people are doing good to get their pants on the correct way each morning :D

Me personally Ive always found it quite fascinating the process of metal recycling. Take load of scrap metal melt it down then turn it into rebar. Tubing, plate etc . Build something else with that. Rinse n repeat . Goes to show what we can accomplish as a society when people use their brains for something other than tiktok videos and wondering which Kardashian is getting butt cheek implants this week

That makes sense. Stupid me, somehow I missed that it was on a step deck. Well it looks good anyway!

When I was with dsv , I had a stepdeck like that I would borrow every once in awhile. Talk about irritating. Had to carry like 10 hand ratchets to compensate. I remember thinking whoever designed this crap definitely flings poop against the wall for entertainment

ATS hand ratchets have a huge heavy chain, so it's incredibly annoying.

Slumming in a 389 till I get mine figured out.
I’m pretty sure I know what’s up with mine, just have to find time to verify the hypothesis.
