TA shop in Boise diagnosed it as left rear sensor and the wire was chafed.. I didn’t look to confirm it. They didn’t have the sensor in stock so I moved on.
TA Sawyer, MI diagnosis was the same as above. They replaced the sensor and was told told that the light would go out once I got rolling down the highway…it didn’t.
Today I popped the sensor and it was covered in carbon. Cleaned and reinstalled. No experience with cleaning the sensor ring but seems simple enough. I imagine the wheel needs to be raised to rotate the ring for cleaning. Will give that a try, just got to get some blocking to ride up on to raise the dual.
Got any tips on cleaning the ring?
No defects on pretrip

Most times a 6ft lead from sensor to the ABS valve will clear it. Always look at the female side of the pins as they are easily bent when connecting.
Look at the ring or mount for the sensor itself. It needs to let the sensor sit square to it as well as all but touch it. If it’s the ring needs cleaning you won’t see the teeth for the build up. The sensor only needs to sense the teeth not space in between (not totally sure how to word that, sorry my communication skills aren’t the best)
If all that checks out where the lead connects to the ABS valve the 2 male pins may need cleaned with a piece of Emory cloth or something similarConcorde and ElmerFudpucker Thank this. -
