I saw a couple of near misses including one that the people responsible for the brakes and tires of my truck helped prevent by allowing me to stop and leave enough room for the guy speeding by me in the snow to miss the people standing in front of their stopped vehicle in his lane.
Another time I stopped after a guy got ejected from his car after rolling it. In the dead, deader deadest terms of the ER he was well on his way to dead when I got there and all we could do was watch until the ambulance got there. They were pretty grateful I'd blocked the lane I was in when they got there too. The dead guy should have survived if he was wearing his seatbelt but he wasn't. Don't forget to wear yours!

 

Wonder how often they refill these things at BRF.

 

If I had to guess there’s still candy in there from when I was working there lol. I see Millis must’ve picked up a new account out of where I’m working now. For the last month now been seeing Millis trucks come into Pella in Macomb IL. Makes sense since you guys haul glass for Cardinal too and we run 2 trucks per day to Spring Green WI picking up glass to bring back for the doors and windows

 

Had a T680 for almost 8 years. In the 24 hours I've had this Cascadia I have fallen off the steps and had someone back into me. 2 things that never happened in the KW.

 

You'll like not needing all 40 acres to turn this thing around and being able to make left turns without the refrigerator door coming open. Other than that the Kenworth was the better truck in my opinion.

 

You guys wouldn't recognize Millis in its current form.

Does it look like heartland is starting to try to integrate Millis into the company and dissolve it?

 

I bet I wouldn't. I think the race to the bottom for the industry has sped up since I left and I doubt Millis is any different.

I really enjoy being retired. One of the people I follow on YouTube is a driver who was saying he parked in a full truck stop Sunday night. Most everyone was still there at lunchtime Monday, and the load he'd been assigned got cancelled before he could finish his pre trip. Being slow like that would be way worse than the pandemic frenzy I got started in.

 

Did Millis finally get rid of those stupid trailer tails?
