Where is everyone #5

Makes me wonder, who is cutting the cost. The customer paying the freight bill is cheaping out? or is it the broker In the middle pocketing all the money? Id like to think customers in the equipment business would want to pay for a good hand that knows what theyre doing and not necessarily looking for the cheapest truck. but nothing in this business surprises me anymore... I see lots of equipment being hauled on stepdecks that really should be on a rgn, always some piece of junk dragging it down the road

 

Looks like Hurst must have gotten back in to trucking.

 

I'd imagine it's a little of A and a little of B.

For sure some brokers out here eating giant chunks of the rates and trying to get it done for nothing while they just sit at a computer all day doing their best to hide double brokering.

Also plenty of shippers who are just cheap as #### and trying to ship a $200K+ machine for nothing just to increase their profit by a few bucks. Then when the cheap truck runs the machine into a bridge or looses it off the deck they get to bill the insurance for a second machine. Ship the second one just as cheap, rinse a repeat.
