Yes, they do have a specific way to interact with us drivers… which seems pretty accommodating to me. I’m sure there is always some drivers that don’t fit in but I find it rather hard to believe too… all you have to do is drive, be responsible for timely delivery, swing by the shop once in awhile, and you can just not interact with most people most of the time. So I guess I’m not following but I don’t need to either. Personally, I rarely interact with anyone myself. Would be nice to be in the click as I could use a few new friends… LOL

So, when are you coming back for your fourth different time??? :)

You might find me more helpful than you may think.

I did play guidance councilor the first two times… the third time I just gave him my two cents worth about his opinions of things that won’t change and why they won’t change, so I doubt there will be a fourth time.

as to reading this, I’ve met a number of drivers in the drivers lounges over the past five years here and I don’t even know his name to call him out personally, and wouldn’t do that anyway…

but if he is reading this thread…
grow the #### up and stop #####ing.

btw, I’ll talk to just about any driver and listen to them comment about shippers, receivers, other drivers, and just about anything that we all complain about… I’ll even laugh and join them a bit… this wasn’t that.

I have a feeling I may have been subjected to this driver's whining as well. I honestly have really nothing bad to say about FCC, except I don't appreciate their decision to spec the T680 with a PACCAR engine, and the GEOTab fiasco. I can go weeks without hearing from anyone in the office, other than asking for ETA. But they don't even do it in a babysitting kind of way; I usually get my next load (or two) fairly soon after that. My miles have dropped a bit overall, but I think I am spoiled a bit... I still averaged over 35000 miles last quarter, up from 31k the quarter before that. When I hear stories of people groveling or kissing butt to get anything over 2500, I am just glad that all I have to do is just be there when I say I will or update ETA, otherwise, proactively set myself up for restarts or efficient recaps, and stay on top of the 8k miles shop thing. The miles just kind of take care of themselves. I am getting burned out on running East nonstop, but such is the market these days...

You will always run across miserable drivers in this industry, that will never be happy. They are usually the drivers that say my miles suck, but then in the same breath say well I won’t go here or go there and I expect to be home ever Friday by 1700 and won’t leave out until Monday at 0800 yada yada.

I’ve said this more than once and in this thread, FCC isn’t perfect but they are by far the best organization I’ve ever driven for , and before I came here I bounced around a lot.

Being on the drives advisory board the last two and a half years has given me a peak behind the curtain, it’s a well run company that people at the top actually care about the drivers. Right now on some of these broker loads they are losing money, but they would rather keep drivers moving and keeping the drivers “whole” then have them sit waiting on the perfect broker loads.

Well said Sir. Ya, the miles are here and it is nice to occasionally shake things up with a run outside the I24 I26 or I80 east lanes.

    stay safe

    I didn’t roast a driver, I anonymously commented about a drivers behavior.

you seems a bit grumpy, are the fish not biting today?

but seriously, have a great day, and maybe hold back on the next beer… ;-)
