This will go down on my permanent record...

Woke up and stared at my espresso machine. I had a little cry, and then got to work.

 

It’s possible that for a while during my sickness I was caffeine free. Too sick to care.

Oddly at one point I did consume 96oz of chicken soup. My wife tried to explain to me that wasn’t a single serving. I said any amount of food is single serving if you try hard enough and don’t quit. (Old joke)

I bought this Neuro gum that has B complex vitamins and 40mg of caffeine. It also has some hippie stuff in it, none of which is an issue for a drug and alcohol screening.

I bought some teas the other day…they’re nice and I feel cultured and superior and started referring to people as “peasants.” The tea also gave me an urge to watch Monty Python.

 

I’m pretty sure that’s a heckle. I’ll take it.

 

Woke up to a FaceTime of my dog from my son.

Is it odd that I really love my wife and son, but that I miss my dog possibly more?

Coffee was almost palatable. The had to weaken from one shot to two. I think it was cream that was grossing me out. Tomorrow I’ll try two shots and the same amount of cream.

life is hell without coffee.
