Why do so many people engage in infidelity?

Easy. Because its easy, there are almost no consiqunces to one party nowadays. And few to no incentives to stay loyal in many cases and many very good incentives to monkeybranch. You see it constantly. Lady finds a better man and ditches her current one because why not, then keeps doing so usually with the courts behind her on anything child support or alomony with many prenups yeeted out until she cant. Or a man gets a huge pay bump and kicks his aging wife or his less attractive gal aside to attract the younger and/or prettier gals because he can.

Modern culture seems to encourage flings more then dedicated relationships. Or so says the 50-75% devorce rates.

 

I can say that all the years on the road and off, I've never strayed while married.

AND also could trust my wives.

can't understand those that can't keep a vow.

Falling in love is a chemicle process that happens to humans.
It makes us feel so wonderful, but in time these chemicles stop producing themselves.
If while the chemicles are producing we spend lots of time and shared experiences with our partner, we can build a lasting loving relationship, that is a beautiful thing to have.
If we didn't really fall in love , and we don't put any effort into the relationship, when the chemicles stop making us happy , the relationship falls apart.
The problem with some people is.......they fall in love with how falling in love makes them feel.
Then married or not they want that feeling back. Hence we have the serial cheaters who don't even know they are chasing the brand new feeling of falling in love.
I read this years ago and it makes sense to me. It also makes the cheaters, addictive personalities, insecure and no spouse can ever trust them.

Divorced a few years ago. Told myself only way I’d shack up with another woman is if she didn’t mind me messing around on the road. Well I found one 18 months ago. Im not a one woman man. And if she needs to knock one off with someone while I’m gone, I don’t care. We just don’t keep secrets.
