Main issue is, there is NO DRIVER SHORTAGE. There is a shortage of good paying loads. The 1st problem you will face is insurance. It will eat you alive on a new authority. The second problem is finding good drivers. Yo will have to poach good, experienced drivers from another carrier, and in order to be attractive, you will need to have something to offer. If you have a little experience, wanna go back on the road yourself, fine, buy yourself a nice rig, work yourself up some nice customers, and run it. Forget the driver’s for now.

 

Worst decision you could make if you have money, I have two truck and have owned trucks for almost 10 years..Invest your money in something and forget about trucking..You will loose that 700k.

 

Put it in a good index fund. You’ll retire a multi millionaire. Make money while you sleep.
